the Bidwell
At The Bidwell, our approach is simple: good food, thoughtful drinks, and a space that always feels comfortable to walk into. Everything we do is built around consistency, quality, and the kind of experience that feels thoughtful without being fussy.
Our menu is shaped by the seasons and built around thoughtful sourcing, with an emphasis on ingredients that can carry through multiple dishes in simple, satisfying ways. That same approach extends to our provisions wall - a small, curated selection of pantry items and specialty goods that we use in-house and genuinely love. It’s an extension of the kitchen and the bar, and a way to bring a piece of The Bidwell home with you.
the Udder Guys
The Udder Guys began life as an ice cream tricycle in 2018, scooping seasonally on Waterbury street corners and in parks. In 2026, a space became available for a permanent, year-round location, and The Udder Guys joined forces with The Bidwell. The Udder Guys was the first company in Vermont to carry Adirondack Creamery, the best and purest ice cream we’ve ever had.
We have a rotating selection of flavors daily, along with some dairy-free options and a plethora of usual and unusual topping choices!
The Bidwell and The Udder Guys are owned and operated by a small team with backgrounds in hospitality, retail, and finance, each bringing a shared commitment to building something lasting, community-focused, and well-run. Together, we aim to create a place that feels familiar in the best way—something you can rely on, return to, and make your own.
